Sonic, an AI voice firm, claims to have made a slight breakthrough in the creation of audio deepfakes, producing a synthetic voice capable of expressing nuances such as teasing and seduction. The secret to the business’s progress, according to the company, is incorporating non-speech noises into its audio and teaching its AI models to replicate those minute intakes of air — tiny scoffs and half-hidden giggles — that give actual speech its biological authenticity mark.

Apple is planning to allow macOS users to use their iPhone camera as a webcam. The new Continuity Camera feature comes as part of macOS Ventura, an upcoming update to macOS. Apple envisions MacBook users clipping an iPhone to the top of their laptops and using the camera to improve video calls in FaceTime, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, and more.

See your car in the Metaverse with the ‘MGverse’ before buying it in the real world

MG Motor has launched its own metaverse platform called “MGverse”. The MGverse will combine five different virtual spaces including an “Explore & Creator centre,” an NFT Gallery, a virtual “MG Car Club,” a gaming arena and an “MG Knowledge Centre” for employees. The platform will initially be available on mobile and on desktop web browsers. In the MGverse, you can take a "virtual test drive" of a vehicle before you buy it.

AICTE becomes the first accreditation body to hold office space in the Metaverse.

Expanding its foothold in the virtual world, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has become the first accreditation body in the world to have its very own office space in the metaverse. Named Polyversity, a virtual university, has the simulated presence of various academic institutions, including the premises of AICTE.
